Due to offer Intel’s new Pine Trail platform, the two netbooks are aparently the first to get WiMAX Forum certification. Running Windows 7 and offering the Intel Atom N450 processor and next-generation single-chipset architecture, MSI claims the result is power consumption of 5.5 watts, which is said to increase battery life by 15% and overall performance by 10%. Both notebooks feature a 10-inch LED backlit display with 1024×600 screen resolution, 802.11b/g/n WLAN, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, V2.0 EDR Bluetooth, stereo speakers and microphones as well as the 3.5G WiMAX tech. Due to be available in a range of colours, the MSI Wind U130 and U135 netbooks will be available from January priced at ?229 and ?279 respectively
